GPHG Finalists Again With The S3 Deadbeat seconds!

The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève is almost here – and Garrick is a finalist!

For those of you less enamoured by industry buzz, the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (or GPHG) is the most important horological awards show in the world. It’s been dubbed the ‘Oscars of Watchmaking’ for good reason, with hundreds of watches competing for their place at a jury-judged red-carpet gala.

Unlike the Oscars however, independent watchmaking doesn’t just have its place at the GPHG, but it’s championed alongside some of the biggest players in the industry. It’s not about marketing budgets, but about the quality and confidence of the watches themselves. Which is why despite being miniscule in the grand scheme of watch brands, our S3 Deadbeat Seconds has a well-deserved place in the incredibly competitive Men’s Watch category. We’re one of just six finalists, narrowed down from tens if not hundreds of entries.

This isn’t our first GPHG final. We were previously nominated for the same category with both the S3 Mk2 and the S4 before that, but this might be out best chance. The S3 Deadbeat, our made-to-order masterpiece, is the pinnacle of what we do here at Garrick. An open dial showcasing the handmade movement and superlative finishing inside; an infilled German silver chapter ring and a plethora of bespoke finishing options, it’s modern British watchmaking at its finest. Pair that with a deadbeat seconds complication and you have, in our opinion at least, a clear winner.

We can’t wait to find out if the GPHG academy share that opinion.
