SalonQP – London 3rd – 5th November
Europe’s best Luxury watch exhibition is again returning to the Saatchi Gallery in west London.
SalonQP features over 80 watch brands, many of which are small independent brands who produce a hnadful of watches each year.
Garrick at SalonQP
After a successful inaugural showing at SalonQP last year, Garrick returns with a new timepiece, the Portsmouth. The British watch company has decided to launch its latest timepiece at this year’s annual watch fair, eager that visitors see this exceptional watch first hand in its home nation.
At the base of the Portsmouth’s dial the balance wheel is freely shown, inviting wearers to examine its beguiling to and fro oscillating motion.
At the heart of the new Portsmouth is a new hand-wound, exclusive Garrick movement, designed by British watchmaker Simon Michlmayr and the legendary movement specialist, Andreas Strehler. The movement parts are manufactured both in the UK and Switzerland. Thereafter, movement finishing, assembly and regulation takes place within Garrick’s own Norfolk workshop.Â
The technical prowess of Garrick has been manifest for some time with the company making its own free-sprung balance, delivering a daily variation of just +3 seconds per day. Now, with the advent of the Portsmouth, Garrick has signalled its progression to a higher level, offering an exclusive movement par excellence.
In addition, Garrick will be exhibiting its popular Norfolk and Regulator timepieces for the delectation of purists seeking a refreshing alternative to mass produced watches.
